Trey McDaniel threw a no-hitter en route to the Charleston Fighting Squirrels winning another regional championship in Junction City, Kansas, 7-0 against the Buckley Bombers.This is the Squirrels fourth trip to the World Series and first since 2014. Charleston scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back. Only two runners reached base all game via errors. McDaniel struck out 14 and didn’t walk a single batter. The World Series begins August 5 in Ephrata, Washington.
