The Sikeston baseball team’s season came to an end as it fell to Lutheran South 5-4 in 8 innings. The Bulldogs had three errors in the game and still had the opportunity to score late in the game that would have given the Bulldogs the lead. Sikeston came back from a 4-0 deficit and tied the game in the top of the seventh before losing in the bottom of the eighth. Even though the game was played in Sikeston, a coin toss decides who the home team is and Lutheran South won the toss and elected to be home. The Lancers move on to the Class 4 State Semifinals next week in O’Fallon
