The St. Vincent baseball team after winning just seven games all season long, took on three-time defending state champions, Valle Catholic in the semifinals. After scoring three runs in the first, the Indians beat the Warriors by holding them to just two runs all game and advanced to play Bismarck in the championship game. Bismarck lead 1-0 through the first two innings before the Indians struck for five runs and never looked back scoring another four runs in the final four innings on their way to a 9-2 win and capturing the district title. St. Vincent will play the winner of district 4 next Monday, May 22.
